The signs of trying to break free from p
It has been 3 years of watching my ex partner go down this path and it has been a burden to watch and witness. As you can guess with this drug all sorts of lies, drama and heart breaking events have happened. It has been recently that i have seen him more as his old self than before BUT he is still in denial that p is bad. He has said he wants to get out but that his p friends from the past r still around him and still his friends, that he sees p as a reward for working so hard and its his escape from reality and that every now and then is alright. I am at my wits end and don't know how to handle this situation any more. i have listened to him, advised him, cried with him and like a broken record kept telling him to get out and away. we have 2 children together and we do not live with other but it has been an extremely hard road to go down and watch him crash and continue to not have the hindsight to get out. can any one advise on what the signs are (for some one addicted to p) on someone trying to get off p and the stages of recovery? |
